Toremovetheairbaffle,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Readthesafetyinformationthatbeginsonpage“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”on
page289.
Step2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables
(see“Turningofftheserver”onpage40).
Step3.Removethetopcover(see“Removingthetopcover”onpage143).
Step4.RemovePCIriser-cardassemblies,ifneeded(see“Removingariser-cardassembly”onpage179).
Step5.DisconnecttheRAIDadapterbattery/flashpowermodulecables,ifneeded.
Step6.Placeyourfingersunderthebackofthetopoftheairbaffle;then,lifttheairbaffleoutoftheserver.
Attention:Forpropercoolingandairflow,replacetheairbafflebeforeyouturnontheserver.
Operatingtheserverwiththeairbaffleremovedmightdamageservercomponents.
Step7.Ifyouareinstructedtoreturntheairbaffle,followallofthepackaginginstructions,anduseany
packagingmaterialsforshippingthataresuppliedtoyou.
Replacingtheairbaffle
Usethisinformationtoreplacetheairbaffle.
Toreplacetheairbaffle,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Readthesafetyinformationthatbeginsonpage“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”on

.
Step2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Step3.Removethetopcover(see“Removingthetopcover”onpage143).
Step4.Aligntheairbaffletabswiththebaffleslotsonbothsidesofthechassis;then,lowertheairbaffle
intotheserver.Presstheairbaffledownuntilitissecurelyseated.
