Toremoveadualinlinememorymodule(DIMM),completethefollowingsteps:

Step2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectallpowercords.
Step3.Removethetopcover(see“Removingthetopcover”onpage143).
Step4.Removetheairbaffle(see“Removingtheairbaffle”onpage145).
Step5.CarefullyopentheretainingclipsoneachendoftheDIMMconnectorandremovetheDIMM.
Attention:ToavoidbreakingtheretainingclipsordamagingtheDIMMconnectors,openand
closetheclipsgently.

server,thesystemdisplaysamessagethatindicatesthatthememoryconfigurationhaschanged.
•Theserversupportsonlyindustry-standarddouble-data-rate4(DDR4),1600,1866,or2133
MHz,PC4-12800,PC4-14900,orPC4-17000registeredorloaddeduction,synchronousdynamic
random-accessmemory(SDRAM)dualinlinememorymodules(DIMMs)witherrorcorrectingcode(ECC).
