Diagnosingaproblem
Beforeyoucallanapprovedwarrantyserviceprovider,followtheseproceduresintheorderinwhichtheyare
presentedtodiagnoseaproblemwithyourserver.
Step1.Returntheservertotheconditionitwasinbeforetheproblemoccurred.Ifanyhardware,
software,orfirmwarewaschangedbeforetheproblemoccurred,ifpossible,reversethose
changes.Thismightincludeanyofthefollowingitems:
•Hardwarecomponents
•Devicedriversandfirmware
•Systemsoftware
•UEFIfirmware
•Systeminputpowerornetworkconnections
Step2.ViewthelightpathdiagnosticsLEDsandeventlogs.Theserverisdesignedforeaseof
diagnosisofhardwareandsoftwareproblems.
