Step2.OntheWelcomepageoftheSystemsDirectorwebinterface,clickViewupdates.
Step3.ClickCheckforupdates.Theavailableupdatesaredisplayedinatable.
Step4.Selecttheupdatesthatyouwanttoinstall,andclickInstalltostarttheinstallationwizard.
InstallingupdateswithyourmanagementserverisnotconnectedtotheInternet
IfyourmanagementserverisnotconnectedtotheInternet,tolocateandinstallupdatesandinterimfixes,
completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.MakesurethatyouhaveruntheDiscoveryandInventorycollectiontasks.
Step2.OnasystemthatisconnectedtotheInternet,gotohttp://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral.
Step3.FromtheProductfamilylist,selectSystemsDirector.
Step4.FromtheProductlist,selectSystemsDirector.
Step5.FromtheInstalledversionlist,selectthelatestversion,andclickContinue.
Step6.Downloadtheavailableupdates.
Step7.Copythedownloadedfilestothemanagementserver.
Step8.Onthemanagementserver,ontheWelcomepageoftheSystemsDirectorwebinterface,click
theManagetab,andclickUpdateManager.
Step9.ClickImportupdatesandspecifythelocationofthedownloadedfilesthatyoucopiedtothe
managementserver.
Step10.ReturntotheWelcomepageoftheWebinterface,andclickViewupdates.
Step11.Selecttheupdatesthatyouwanttoinstall,andclickInstalltostarttheinstallationwizard.
UpdatingtheUniversalUniqueIdentifier(UUID)
UsethisinformationtoupdatetheUniversalUniqueIdentifier(UUID).
TheUniversalUniqueIdentifier(UUID)mustbeupdatedwhenthesystemboardisreplaced.Usethe
AdvancedSettingsUtilitytoupdatetheUUIDintheUEFI-basedserver.TheASUisanonlinetoolthat
supportsseveraloperatingsystems.Makesurethatyoudownloadtheversionforyouroperatingsystem.
YoucandownloadtheASUfromtheWebsite.TodownloadtheASUandupdatetheUUID,completethe
followingsteps.
