CLEANING
Routinecleaningcanbedonewithsoapy
waterandastiffbrush.Stubbornoilbased
stainscangenerallyberemovedusing
Brake&ClutchCleaninguidonaclean
whitecloth.Otherproprietarycleaners
maybeused,howeverwewould
recommendthattheyaretestedinanout
ofsightarearsttoensurecompatibility.

Pressurewashingyourdeckonceayear
willbringituplikenewagain.
REPAIRS
Shouldyoudamagethedecksurfaceby
draggingsomethingsharpacrossit,the
gougecanbecarefullysandedoutusing
40 grit sandpaper. Sand the damaged
areaalongthegraininonedirectionuntil
thedamagehasgone.Thisprocesswill
createalighterareaonthedecksurface,
butthiswillfadeoveraweekorsoand
willeventuallybecomeinvisible.More
seriousdamage,suchasholescanbe
invisiblyrepairedbyspecialists.
Shouldforanyreasonyouneedtoliftan
areaofpanel,orasectionworksloose,
thiscanbere–stuckusingBostikSimson
CASSKFadhesiveForrapidstain
removal,cleanwhilestainisfresh!
• Usewarmsoapywater(dishwashing
liquiddilutedinwater)andabristled
brush(kitchenscrubber)tocleanspills
suchaswine,shguts,fueletcon
teak.
• Ifaslightmarkremainsafteraspill
hasbeenwashed,sandteakwith40
or60gritsandpaperinthedirectionof
thecaulklines.
• NB:Useasandingblocktosandteak
• Useahighpressurehoseand
detergent(dishwashingliquid)to
removestubbornstainsandapply
gentlesanding(40or60grit
sandpaper)inthedirectionofthecaulk
linestorestorecolourofteak.
• NB: Sanded areas will appear
somewhatlighteraftersanding-they
willblendinwiththesurroundingareas
within a day or two.
• Ifthereisaburnmarkorother
damagethathascreateda“hole”in
thesyntheticteakitcouldberepaired
byweldingteakcolouredwire.Thisis
donewiththeweldinggun.Cutoffthe
excessand,afterithascooleddown,
gentlyuseasandblockwitha40or60
grit sand paper to restore the wooded
structure.
