2-21 FRIDGE/FREEZEROPERATION
Freezer

vessel.
The freezer/refrigeration unit is an air
- cooled, 12V DC system with R134a
compressorrefrigerant.
Thecompressorunitislocatedattherear
of the unit and is accessed by removing
thestarboardaftcabinlockerbackpanel.
The fridge / freezer unit is divided into
two compartments. The upper (smaller)
compartmentisthefreezerandtheLower
(larger) compartment is the refrigerator.
The unit will freeze the holding plate
from warm, but may take several hours
depending on the ambient temperature
andhumidity.
To isolate the unit, turn the fridge/freezer
breakeroffattheDCpanel.

To cool the freezer:
1. Checkthatthefridge/freezerbreakeris
on at the DC panel.
2. Check that there is power available
fromthehousebatteries.
3. Set the thermostat to the required
setting.
4. Theunitwillthenoperateautomatically.
Running time depends on ambient
temperatureandhumidity.
