2-21 FRIDGE/FREEZEROPERATION
Freezer

vessel.
The freezer/refrigeration unit is an air
- cooled, 12V DC system with R134a
compressorrefrigerant.
Thecompressorunitislocatedattherear
of the unit and is accessed by removing
thestarboardaftcabinlockerbackpanel.
The fridge / freezer unit is divided into
two compartments. The upper (smaller)
compartmentisthefreezerandtheLower
(larger) compartment is the refrigerator.
The unit will freeze the holding plate
from warm, but may take several hours
depending on the ambient temperature
andhumidity.
To isolate the unit, turn the fridge/freezer
breakeroffattheDCpanel.

To cool the freezer:
1. Checkthatthefridge/freezerbreakeris
on at the DC panel.
2. Check that there is power available
fromthehousebatteries.
3. Set the thermostat to the required
setting.
4. Theunitwillthenoperateautomatically.
Running time depends on ambient
temperatureandhumidity.
