Thetoiletsystemisarrangedsothatthetoiletsarepumpedintoaholdingtank.
Iftheholdingtankdischargeseacock(positionedinthebilgeunderthecabinoorboard
intheAftcabinoneithersideofthevessel.)isopen,thetankgravitydrainsoverboard.If
thisvalveisclosed,wasteisstoredintheholdingtank.
WARNING
The toilet must not be cleaned with concentrated cleaners or cleaners with high
concentrations of aromatics such as pine scented cleaners and degreasers. These
can cause the pump seals to swell and may contribute to premature leaking or
failure.
WARNING
THERE SHALL BE NO DISCHARGE OF WASTE INTO THE SEA WITHIN 12 NAUTICAL
MILES OF THE SHORE.
Theholdingtankcanbeemptiedbypumpingoverboard(NOTWITHIN12NMLIMIT)or
byusingadocksidepump-outconnectedtothedeckpump-outwastetting.
Thecapacityofthetankis45litreseachside.Theushingisapproximately2litresper
ush,whichgivesan average of 22 ushes perside.Indicatorlightswillshowonthe
controlboardwhenthetankisfullandrequiresemptying.
