Element Replacement:
The frequency of element replacement is
determined by the contamination level of
the fuel. Replace the elements every
10,000miles,every500hours,everyother
oil change, if power loss is noticed, or
annually,whicheveroccursrst:
1. Enginemustbeoffandcooltotouch.
2. Remove T-handle and lid.
3. Remove the element by holding the bail
handlesandopenslowlypullingupward
with a twisting motion.
4. ReplacelidgasketandT-handleO-ring
withnewassembly.(suppliedwithnew
element). Lubricate both seals with
cleanfuelormotoroil
5. Install new element.
6. Follow‘PrimingInstructions.

Theengineexhaustgassespassthrough
a water trap before being discharged
overboard.Attentionshouldbepaidtothe
exhaustwithrespecttothecondition and
the load on the engine. Black smoke
indicatesanoverload.
Alwayscheckforadequatewaterowon
enginestartupandimmediatelyshutdown
theengineifthereisnowaterowfromthe
Exhaust Skin Fitting. If there is no water
ow then the Engine Salt Water Intake
must be checked for blockage. If no
blockage is found then the Water Pump
impellormustbeinspectedfordamage.
