11.6. RECOMMENDED TIRE PRESSURES
Proper tire pressure is critical for optimal performance. Tires with higher pressure will typically roll faster and provide
less rolling resistance, but provide less traction. Tires with lower pressure will typically provide increased traction
and control at the expense of rolling resistance. Too little pressure will increase the risk of rim damage and potential
for “burped” tires (releasing air when used as tubeless).
Experiment with different tire pressures in different conditions to find what works best for you when riding your
preferred terrain. Use a quality pressure gauge and refer to the tire pressure recommendations written on the side
of the tires.
TECH TIP: Because of the extra weight of the LEVO SL bicycle, tire pressure should generally be
higher compared to a regular bicycle, such as a Stumpjumper FSR.
12. AFTERMARKET ACCESSORIES
12.1. RANGE EXTENDER (RE)
Your LEVO SL is compatible with the RE to further increase range and ride time. The RE is securely held in the
recommended bottle cage (Zee Cage II - Right) and connects to the motor through a dedicated power cable that
plugs into the charge port. The low weight of the RE allows you to carry more REs to boost autonomy. One RE adds
160Wh to the system which lasts for about 1h of riding in Turbo mode (flat / slight gradient).
Please see your Authorized Specialized Retailer to get your RE(s) and the recommended bottle cage.

USING YOUR RE
Install the cage onto the bicycle on the downtube location. Only use the recommended bottle cage (Zee Cage II
Right) for the RE.
Power off your LEVO SL bicycle.
Insert the end of the power cable with the rounded cover into the port on the RE (Fig. 12.1 a). The LEVO SL
requires the 160 mm RE cable to connect to your bicycle.
Clip the cable into the channel located in the RE housing (Fig. 12.1 b).
Install the RE in the bottle cage.(Fig. 12.2).
