4. Reinstall the Binoculars and the screw back.
5.6 LDU Optical Alignment
When the LDU is fitted to the slit lamp, the optical alignment of the laser beam needs to be
checked and adjusted in reference to the slit lamp optical alignment. The three LDUs mentioned
are:
• LIO (optional)
• Endoprobe (optional)
5.6.1 LIO (Optional) Alignment

1. Turn the laser console ON.
2. Ensure that the fiber tip is cleaned with alcohol prior to connecting it to the laser console
(Figure 40).
