4.11 The socket-outlet panel
If a warning is placed on the cover plate, there are no connectors under the
cover. The cover may only be replaced by an authorized and trained worker
using tools.
Notice: After uninstalling the cover, you can access the connectors, but the liquid
ingress protection (IP) drops to IPX0 (shown by the sticker).
The splitter sockets supplied with the ME system must only be used to supply
devices (colposcope, ultrasound) intended as part of this ME. Connection of
electrical instruments to multiple socket outlets gives rise to the medical system
that can result in reduction of the safety level. The medical system is subject to
ČSN EN 60 601-1 requirements. No additional multiple socket outlet or
extension cable can be used in the medical system. Multiple socket outlets can
be used to supply only those instruments determined as part of the medical
system. Input power per socket outlet must not exceed 600 VA. A protective
device of the socket-outlet panel serves as protection against unskilled
connection of the electrical instrument and protection against electric shock. At
the same time, it serves as protection against self- or unintended unplugging of
the mains socket outlet. To remove the protective device, it is necessary to
loosen two screws holding it.
Connecting of an appliance can be carried out only after dismantling the
protective equipment.
