When the modification of the scene is correct, press [MD.FY] [S#]. For the blind
modifications, the process it the same, but, the modifications are done exclusively with the
items changed with the channel faders or keyboard.
20. SUBMASTERS WITH EFFECTS (THEATRE)
Piccolo has a maximum of 999 Effects (Chases), of which it can execute at the same time as many
as there are submasters on the lightboard. An effect can be programmed with cues, with channels
or with groups, ordered in steps.
To program an effect, groups (pg. 23) and/or cues (pg. 24) must be stored, then:
Begin to edit the effect nº #,
Or the next effect, (pressing [EFFECT] [REC])
[EFFECT][#][REC]
This command opens a page, where the effect type must be selected
(0:CHANNELS, 1:GROUPS, 2:CUES).
[#][ENTER]
# is the option number
It is possible to edit the effect general options or to edit the effects
steps.
[OPTIONS] switches
between these tables.
To edit the steps, use arrow keys and numeric keyboard:

The general options are:
A text for labelling the effect
Text
A fade-time for the effect. Used for automatic start & stop
T
A step-time that is the time that each step is in scene. System calculates
the effect -time (EffecT), and shows the step number (Steps)
StepT
The direction of the steps execution… ascendant, descendant, cyclic…
Dir
The mode of the steps execution (hard, soft…) and the pattern for it
(normal, invert, built, shadow…)
Attributes
Optionally, a cue can be assigned as static effect part. This cue will be
activated/deactivated with the effect.
Cue
To execute an effect, this must be loaded in a Submaster (Piccolo in THEATRE mode):
Load it with speed control (7: EFFECT Rate)
[EFFECT] [#] [LOAD] [S#]
Load it with level control (8: EFFECT Level)
[EFFECT] [#] [LOAD] [LOAD] [S#]
To execute a loaded effect:
[S#] Start/Stop, in automatic mode, the loaded effect in S#
