Indicates the type of battery used in the anemometer.
2. INSTRUMENT DESCRIPTION
2.1. APPLICATION/INTENDED USE
The anemometer is a highly accurate measurement instrument used for adjusting and cali-
brating all air samplers of the MAS-100 product family, except for the MAS-100 CG Ex and
MAS-100 Atmos.
Note
The MAS-100 Regulus digital anemometer replaces the DA-100 NT digital an-
emometer.
2.2. WORKING PRINCIPLE
The anemometer works with the principle of volume displacement, same as the previous
generation DA 100 NT upon which it is based.
The anemometer is typically placed onto the sampling head of an air sampler. The air aspi-
rated by the air sampler drives the impeller located inside the anemometer and the tips of
the impeller blades interrupt an optical barrier, thus generating electric impulses. These im-
pulses are counted and processed by the anemometer’s electronics, which will calculate
from it the air flow in L/min and translate it also simultaneously to mass flow (SLPM) using
the built-in pressure and temperature sensors. The results are updated and displayed every
3seconds.
2.3. MAIN FEATURES
