13.2. MANUAL ADJUSTMENT
PROCEDURE
1) Perform the following steps in a clean and draft-free place, with all instruments placed
on a stable base.
2) Remove the perforated lid.
If the air sampler features an Easy-Clean-Base:
Place a MAS-100 Family Calibration Disk or a Petri dish inside the sampling head.
3) Check the lower edge of the perforated lid visually
to ensure that there are no notches or unevenness.
This could lead to a leak between the perforated lid
and the base.
Damaged perforated lids must be replaced.
4) Remount the perforated lid.
5) Place the anemometer on the perforated lid of the air sampler.
6) Start the anemometer by pressing the ON/OFF
button.
The anemometer is in mass flow mode, showing
SLPM on the display.
7) If the air sampler is activated, shut it down (green switch on backside of CU).
8) Press simultaneously the buttons YES and NO and keep them pressed.
9) Start up the air sampler (green switch on backside of CU) while keeping the YES and
the NO button pressed.
10) Keep the YES and the NO button pressed until the
setup menu is activated, then release the buttons.
11) Press YES to start the adjustment process.
12) he instrument is now in the K
3
menu.
13) Select on the CU the sampling head that needs to be adjusted.
14) Modifying the K
3
value:
Values 0 - 200 are possible.
After reaching 200, the counter restarts at 0.
Low K
3
value = High throughput
High K
3
value = Low throughput.
Press the YES button to increase the value until the desired value is reached.
or
Press the NO button to save the current value and continue.
