3.3. WARNINGS AND TROUBLESHOOTING
The anemometer issues warning messages to alert the user of conditions that may have an
impact on the measurement results. These warnings can also be helpful for troubleshooting
purposes.
The following table lists the warnings and gives information on how to handle the warning:
Warning Description Recommended action
Alerts the user that a recali-
bration of the anemometer is
due within the specified pe-
riod of time.
Plan to send the anemometer to
service for recalibration to
avoid an expiration of the cali-
bration validity.
Alerts the user that the cali-
bration of the anemometer is
overdue.
NOTE: Measurements can still
be performed but the corre-
sponding reports show that
the calibration validity has ex-
pired.
Send the anemometer to ser-
vice for recalibration.
Shows that the battery of the
anemometer is almost empty
and needs to be replaced
soon.
Replace the battery of the ane-
mometer. Refer to section 15.3.
The result of the self-check
test of the impeller hints to a
possible bearing problem. (see
section 3.4)
Repeat the self-check test. If
the warning persists send the
anemometer to service.
Alerts the user that the ane-
mometer has been exposed to
a mechanical shock which
may have an influence on the
impeller bearing.
Activating the transportation
mode will disable this alert
(see section 4.3)
Perform a self-check test to
make sure that the bearing of
the impeller functions properly.
Alerts the user that the ane-
mometer is used in a flow
range for which it is not cali-
brated.
Use the anemometer only in the
flow range for which it is cali-
brated (Different flow ranges;
see section 16.2).
