12.3. MANUAL ADJUSTMENT WITH FIRMWARE V5.XX AND ABOVE
PROCEDURE
1) Perform the following steps in a clean and draft-free place, with all instruments placed
on a stable base.
2) Remove the perforated lid.
3) Check the lower edge of the perforated lid visually
to ensure that there are no notches or unevenness.
This could lead to a leak between the perforated lid
and the base.
Damaged perforated lids must be replaced.
4) Remount the perforated lid.
5) Place the anemometer on the perforated lid of the air sampler.
6) Start the anemometer by pressing the ON/OFF
button.
The anemometer is in mass flow mode, showing
SLPM on the display.
7) Start up the air sampler by simultaneously pressing
the buttons YES and NO and keep them pressed
for approximately 5seconds, until the user is asked
whether a calibration is desired.
Press YES to start the adjustment process.
8) The air sampler is now in the K
3
menu.
Note
It is possible to block the access to the calibration menu with the PC Soft-
ware. Therefore, the Protected mode must be activated. This way it is guaran-
teed that the calibration values cannot be changed unless the Protected
mode is deactivated again.
Note
In the firmware ≥ V5.xx it is possible to display the calibration values by press-
ing NO after the question Do you want to calibrate? (Y/N). In this mode it is
no longer possible to change values.
9) Modifying the K
3
value:
Values 0 - 200 are possible.
After reaching 200, the counter restarts at 0.
Low K
3
value = High throughput
High K
3
value = Low throughput.
Press the YES button to increase the value until the desired value is reached.
Or
Press the NO button to save the current value and continue.
