2.4. COMMUNICATION
The anemometer communicates via the PC Software with the air sampler attached to the
RS-232 port (exception: MAS-100 VF, which features a browser-based software).

Check the MBV AG website www.mbv.ch for the latest firmware and software
updates.
Note
For additional information about how to use the PC Software please refer to
the MAS-100 NT/NT Ex Software Manual or MAS-100 Iso NT/MH Soft-
ware Manual respectively.
2.4.1. RS-232 COMMUNICATION PARAMETERS
To gain direct access to the anemometer via the RS-232 protocol, or if the RS-232 cable
needs to be extended via an Ethernet extender, the following settings are applicable:
Baud rate (Bits per second) 1200
Data bits 8
Parity None
Stop bits 1
Flow control None
2.4.2. USB INTERFACE
The USB-C port below the user interface on the right connects to the MAS-100 VF air sam-
pler for the calibration procedure.
The USB-A port on the left is not used at present time, it is reserved for future functions.
