Service manual for medifa 6000 mobile operating tables, version 2.0
4.6.5.2 Replacement on models 601120 and 601820
To dismantle the distance measuring system of the lower
backrest cylinders, the cladding, pelvic padding plate and
support should be removed beforehand. Please refer to
the relevant chapters of this manual for instructions!
First remove the screw connection [1] of the adjustment
rod of the displacement encoder system below the
transition joint of the right backrest rail. Move the upper
backrest upwards to make the screw connection easier to
reach.
WARNING
Do not pull on the adjustment rod of the displacement encoder system, as this could pull the tab of the system out of the
rail and render the system useless.
Then remove the two screws for fixing the displacement
encoder system. First move the top frame towards the
top side using the sliding mechanism until the back
screw [2] on the pelvic rail is visible. The same must now
be done for the bottom side screw [3].
In the next step the wiring must be traced back to the
connection point and removed from the distributor
board. Document the position of the cables and the
cable ties before starting the disassembly. Now the
displacement encoder system can simply be pulled out of
the pelvic rail to the back. When installing the new cable,
replace the cable ties in their original position.
