In the next step the wiring must be traced back to the
connection point and removed from the distributor
board. Document the position of the cables and the cable
ties before starting the disassembly. When installing the
new cable, replace the cable ties in their original position.
In the following disassembly process, the guide rail must
be separated from the forked photoelectric sensor [4] by
removing the two fixing screws [5] on the top side.
Once the light barrier has been detached, it can be guided
out through the pelvis rail and joint box with a cable.

Service manual for medifa 6000 mobile operating tables, version 2.0
4.6.7 Displacement encoder system of the upper back plate adjustment on models 601700 and 601820
To dismantle the forked light barrier of the upper back
section cylinders, the cladding, pelvis padding plate and
support should be removed beforehand. Please refer to
the relevant chapters of this manual for instructions!
To make it easier to reach the forked photoelectric sensor
and the adjustment rod, it is advantageous to move the
upper backrest upwards. Now you can easily look into the
lower backrest rail. Now loosen the adjustment rod by
pulling off the locking ring [1]. The adjustment bar can
now be pulled out to the front.
In the next step, the forked light barrier must be released
from the backrest rail.
To do this, loosen the nut [2] which fixes the forked
photoelectric sensor in the backrest bar.
If necessary, use an Allen key to hold the screw [3] on the
other side of the backrest rail in place. After loosening
the screw and removing the nut, the forked photoelectric
sensor can be pulled out of the cutout in the back rail.
