Service manual for medifa 6000 mobile operating tables, version 2.0
5.4 Replacing the control unit
Components of base
It proves helpful to move the operating table to the
uppermost position of the lifting column to avoid short
circuits or hazards. Before starting disassembly, switch off
the operating table at the main switch and remove the
battery fuse from the base so that the operating table is
zero-voltage.
To replace the control unit, the lower column cladding
must first be removed or lifted ( see chapter Disassembly
of column cladding). Afterwards, the cabling can be
disconnected from the control unit.
Document the position of the cables and the cable ties
before starting the disassembly.
It is also necessary to remove the base cover plate [1].
To do so, remove the two screws [2], carefully remove
the plate, and place it with its front side on the floor. Be
careful not to damage the electrical cables.
Once the base front panel has been removed, the view of
the control unit [3] is clear. It is only attached with Velcro
fasteners.
HAZARD
Danger of electric shock!
Before starting to replace the control unit, you must ensure that the operating table is in a zero-voltage state, otherwise
there is a risk of electric shock.
