System Commands
The display of the pycnometer remains at the Reload prompt until you initiate a command by pressing
the appropriate key(s) on the keypad. Commands start an analysis or other automatic operations and
allow you to modify operating parameters. The following commands are available:
Set Up; enables you to specify system options and operating parameters, page 3-11
Analyze; enables you to perform an analysis, page 3-23
Calibrate; enables you to calibrate the pycnometers volume, temperature, or pressure,
page 3-25
Review; enables you to review the results of the last operation (analysis or calibration),
page 3-30
Print; enables you to print reports, page 3-33
Manual; enables you to open and close valves manually, page 3-36
Transmit; enables you to transmit data through a serial communications line, page 3-36
Zero; enables you to zero the volume or pressure transducer, page 3-37
When you access a command, most functions display prompts. A prompt is a request for you to enter
information or choose an option, and typically is contained on the third and fourth lines of the display.
The third line contains a description of the requested information and the fourth line displays a default
Fourth line At the Reload prompt, shows the current pressure and
temperature alternately, where:
P = pressure
T = temperature
This line is also used to choose options, enter information, or
provide information about the current operation.
You cannot initiate a command (other than Print or Transmit) while an automatic
operation is in progress.
