will bring E-stop button (J) to center position.
23. Sound horn (F) to alert everyone near machine
before moving forward.
24. Push drive control stick (K) slowly forward to begin
forward motion.
25. Adjust ground speed as necessary for material and
job condition.
26. To reduce travel speed, either use brake pedal
near operator console base or bring drive control
stick (K) towards center.
27. To move machine backward, pull drive control stick
(K) slowly backward. Backup alarm will sound.
28. Regulate material ow by adjusting conveyor speed
switch (L) as necessary to keep ample amount of
material in front of strike off blade.
29. Do not shift gears when moving. It is important to
bring the machine to complete stop before shifting
gears. Once disengaged, the gear shift lever cannot
be re-engaged until the machine motion is stopped.

30. To stop machine in an emergency situation or
applying parking brakes, push E-stop button (J) all
the way down. This action will:
Engage parking brakes and stop machine.
Not stop engine.

Prevent machine damage.
Excessive conveyor on-off may cause
premature wear on conveyor drive system.
5.7 sIde CHAnGeover for mAterIAl
dIsCHArGe And BlAde
This section applies to dual sided machines
Following sub sections illustrate procedure for blade
and material discharge side change over from right-
hand paving side to left-hand. Procedure is the same
for changeover from left-hand side to right.
5.7.1 sIde CHAnGeover for mAterIAl dIsCHArGe
^ WARNING
Prevent serious injury or death.
Before performing inspections, service or
maintenance:
Park machine on rm, level surface and
engage parking brake.
Switch engine off.
Close and lock control panel cover.
Chock tires.
^ WARNING
Prevent serious injury or death.
Use an adequate lifting device to raise, lift
and move operator console.
1. Park machine on a rm level surface, engage
parking brake by pushing operator console E-stop
button fully down.
2. Switch engine off.
3. Close and lock control panel cover.
4. In hopper, turn crank (A) counterclockwise on right
end gate assembly to lower down gate (B).
5. Lower gate (B) until rubber seal (C) at bottom of
gate, touches conveyor belt (D).
