12.2 Maintenance and Testing Schedule
Follow the maintenance and testing schedule or local regulations to perform testing and
maintenance. Make sure to clean and disinfect the equipment before taking any tests
and maintenance.
The following table lists the maintenance and testing schedule:
12.3 Testing Methods and Procedures
Except the following maintenance tasks, all other test and maintenance tasks should be
performed by the qualified service personnel only.
Regular check, including visual inspection and power-on test
Test/Maintenance Item Recommended Frequency
Performance Tests
Tests required by IEC 60601-2-24:2012 Once every two years.
When you suspect that the occlusion alarm is
abnormal.
When you suspect that the rate is abnormal.
The syringe is not properly recognized.
•The Syringe Empty alarm is not properly
presented.
Safety Tests
Electrical safety tests Once every two years, or if required.
When the power board is repaired or replaced.
When the main board is replaced.
When the equipment drops to the ground.
Other Tests
Visual inspection Every day, before first use.
Power-on test Each time the equipment is powered on.
Battery check Functionality test When the battery is first installed.
When the battery is replaced.
Performance test Every three months or if the battery runtime
reduces significantly.
Pressure calibration, syringe
calibration, and sensor calibration.
