Note:
The Standard menu structure is described in this
User's Guide. To find individual menu items in the Easy and
Icon schematic diagrams, please use the menu trees shown
in the Appendix.
Note: If the menu structure is modified, the DECT phone is
automatically restarted.
Brightness You can change the brightness of the display to match local
lighting conditions.
Illumination
Display Select how long the full display illumination remains active
(each time a key is pressed, for example, from 10-240
seconds).
Display dimming: This setting means that the display
illumination remains permanently active for a user-definable
time (Light off, 1-240 min) even when the idle mode or in the
charger cradle. This setting reduces the life of the battery.
In charger: Select how long the display illumination
remains active when the device is placed in the charger
cradle (Light off, 1-240 seconds).
Conversation: To save battery power, you can use this
feature to specify the behaviour of the display illumination
during a call (Light off, Light on, 10-240 seconds).
If you have selected Light off, the display will always be dark
during a call. You can switch on the illumination for a short
time by pressing one of the 3 softkeys (located directly
beneath the display).
Text message: Select how long the display illumination
remains active when reading text messages (No change,
Light dimmed, 1-240 seconds).
Menu: Select how long the display illumination remains
active when the menu is accessed (30 seconds, Light on,
and Light dimmed)
Keyboard Select how long the keyboard illumination remains active
each time a key is pressed (Light off, 1-240 seconds).
Incoming call: Select if the keylight must be on for incoming
calls
Time functions: Select if the keylight must be on for time
functions
Out of charger: Select if the keylight must be on when the
phone is removed from the charging cradle.
LED indications
You can switch the LED indicators on/off according to requirements (see also “LED”
on page 15).
Life indication Slowly flashing green or orange LED. Deactivated if the
charge indication (orange or green LED) is also deactivated.
Incoming call Rapidly flashing green or orange LED for incoming call.
Out of range Rapidly flashing red LED if you are moving out of the
system’s radio range.
Charge indication LED lights up orange when the battery is charged and
switches to green when fully charged.
