The graphical user interface
If you have loaded the configuration from the device into Setting and Monitoring Tool,
you can then start the recording using the Start recording button in the
Status/control selection window.
For this purpose Setting and Monitoring Tool must be connected to the device.
You can also prepare a dedicated data recorder configuration that can then be
transferred to the device. For this purpose drag the inputs and outputs with the signals
to be recorded from the Inputs/Outputs selection window to the data display window.
You can then define in the Trigger and trace configuration selection window when
the data recording is to start:
Continuous: The recording starts immediately after you click the Start recording
button.
Trigger: After you have clicked the Start recording button the recording only
starts once the trigger condition you have defined is met. For this purpose select
one of the inputs or outputs used from the list as a Trigger channel and define
the trigger condition, i.e. whether the recording is to start when the selected
trigger channel has the value 0 or the value 1.
If you select the Only record new values save option, the signals are not recorded
continuously but only on a signal change.
