2 Enter 8–digit PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) number.
NOTICE: The PUK is an eight-digit master code provided by your service provider.
3 Enter the new PIN code twice.

Changing PIN Codes
Procedure:
1 From the home screen, press the MENU
key.
2 Select SecurityChange Code.
3 Radio prompts for the Old Code. Enter currently used 4-digit security code (default setting is
0000).
4 If the entered code matches the old code, radio prompts for the new code twice.
Your radio displays Code Accepted.

Keypad Lock Feature
The keypad lock feature allows locking the keypad to prevent pressing a key accidentally. The keypad
lock/unlock can be invoked by using a predefined menu shortcut. Press MENU, and then * key.
NOTICE: Additionally, from the radio menu, you can invoke the keypad lock (not the unlock) by
selecting
MENU → SecurityKeylock SetupLock Keypad.
An active keypad lock additionally locks the following accessory buttons:
No-Dot
1–Dot
2–Dot
Your service provider can determine which of the following elements are additionally inoperative while
the keypad is locked:
The PTT button (also on accessories)
Volume Control
Talk Group Selection
Side buttons
Lock on Start-Up
The SOFT keys
The POWER-OFF key
The EMERGENCY button is always operative.

Keypad Lock Notification
When the keypad is locked, your service provider can configure one of the following instructions:
None — no notification is displayed.
Notification Only — Keys Locked is displayed.
