If splices are needed, solder and insulate each connection with
electrical tape. Insulated, screw-clamp type inter-connect terminals
are also acceptable.
At the Ultima Gas Monitor/Less Sensor Location
Appropriate wiring
conduit should be used
between the Ultima Gas
Monitor and the Ultima
Remote Sensor. The
cable must be routed
through the conduit.
There are two ways to
wire the catalytic
combustible Ultima Gas
Monitor, Less Sensor:
Using the 18-inch
wiring harness
Using the internal
terminal block.
It is better to use the
18-inch wiring harness to
connect additional wiring
to the Ultima Gas
Monitor/Less Sensor. It
does not require opening
the unit or partial
disassembly of the internal assemblies.
Wiring the Ultima Gas Monitor/Less Sensor Using the 18-inch
Wiring Harness
Splice up to 50 feet of additional cable to the wiring harness
coming from the Ultima Gas Monitor. Use a properly-rated
junction box to make all of the connections. There is no need to
open the Ultima enclosure.
