System Data Backup
System Data Backup
With the SV8300, if any of the operations listed below is carried out without backing up the system data
following the entry of system data or service memory settings (such as abbreviated phone dialing and ab-
sent transfer), the data settings would be lost. Before performing any of these operations, you need to back
up system data. System data backup may be executed at an appointed time, which is specified by CM43
Y=5>00 (by default, at 3.a.m.)
• Power OFF
• System reset (CPU blade reset)
• Switching to off-line mode
• Switching to on-line mode following the setting of system data in off-line mode
NOTE 1: The SYSD lamp on the CPU blade blinks while the system data backup is in progress. Do not
reset the system while the SYSD lamp is blinking red.
NOTE 2: The system data backup takes about 1 minute 30 seconds in on-line mode and about 1 minute
in off-line mode to complete.
To backup system data, follow these steps:
STEP1: Launch PCPro. Page 2-4
STEP2: On the Taskbar, click the [System data backup] button.
[Backup] dialog box is displayed.
STEP3: Click the [Yes] button.
The system data backup begins.
STEP4: Click the [OK] button.
The system data backup has now been complete.
