[Upgrade] Category
Program Upgrade (Off-line)
Allows you to upgrade the software on the CPU program off-line mounted in the SV8300 by using a Up-
grade program downloaded onto PCPro.
For information on specifying a FTP server, see “FTP Server” Page 8-10
The [Program Upgrade (Off-line)] menu allows you to upgrade Program Upgrade (Off-line).
Tips: Firmware Program Upgrade
While line/trunk blade firmware is included as part of the CPU program, simply upgrading the
CPU program will not upgrade the firmware. To upgrade firmware, finish upgrading the CPU
program first and upgrade the firmware with CME8Y=0. For more details, refer to the “Firm-
ware Program Upgrade”. Page 4-64
NOTE 1: Be sure to insert the LAN cable into the ETHERNET port of the CPU blade.
NOTE 2: You can confirm the status of program upgrade by the S1 lamp and ALM lamp of CPU blade.
STEP1: Connect the ETHERNET port of the CPU blade mounted on the SV8300 and the LAN Port of
PCPro directly with a LAN cable.
STEP2: Check that the communication link with the SV8300 is cleared.

(1) Set the SENSE switch on the CPU blade to 8

reset the system to start updating the program.
