Troubleshooting on Software License Authentication
The probable causes of errors that could occur in the license data authentication process and the associated
remedial actions are listed below.
(1) Cannot register license data/Cannot create a PBX creation file
(2) Registered license data won’t take effect

1 Unstable communica-
tion between PCPro
and the SV8300.
The SV8300 was in a con-
gested state, unable to
receive a maintenance com-
mand.
Wait for a while and retry the commu-
nication session.
Noise present on the com-
munications line.
Connect PCPro and the SV8300
directly with RS CONSOLE CA-A.

1 No temporary Activation Code (4320)
or Activation Code had been regis-
tered following the registration of
license data.
Register a temporary Activation Code (4320) or
Activation Code.
2 Following the registration of an Acti-
vation Code, another Software Key
Code has been added on the SV8300
(or the Software Key Code has been
deleted).
1. Verify the Software Key Code set on the SV8300.
2. Obtain the Activation Code again from the Soft-
ware License Authentication Center, including the
Software Key Code added, and then register the
correct Activation Code.
3 The system was initialized without
backing up the system data following
the registration of a temporary Activa-
tion Code or Activation Code.
Reregister the temporary Activation Code or Activa-
tion Code and then back up the system data.
