8.12 Menu M: Comms
Menu M Comms provides set-up parameters to allow the user to configure the serial communications interface fitted to the front of the Elevator drive
in Slot 4.
The Elevator drive offers a 2 wire EIA-485 interface via the option module fitted in Slot 4 which supports drive set-up, operation and monitoring carried
out with a PC or an Elevator controller where required. The EIA-485 user interface operates as a Modbus RTU slave with a user selectable extension
to allow for parameter numbers up to 255.
It should be noted that some non-recoverable drive faults, trips (Priority 1 or 2 trips) disable most of the functions within the drive, if one of these drive
faults, trips is active the drives serial communications will not function.
