15. Set F3 > Controller System Menu > AUTOMATIC MODE FAULT BYPASS = BYPASS OFF.
16. Remove the jumper between GOS1 and GOS2.
17. On the HC-CTL board, place a jumper between terminals SAFC and SAFH.
18. Run the car up on Inspection to release the safeties.
19. Remove the jumper between the CTL board terminals SAFC and SAFH.
Counterweight Safety Test
1. Run the car to the bottom landing.
2. Bypass the Electrical Governor Switch by placing a jumper between GOS1 and GOS2.
3. If a counterweight has a governor, place a jumper between the CTL board terminals
SAFC and SAFH.
4. Set F3 > Controller System Menu >
AUTOMATIC MODE FAULT BYPASS = BYPASS ON.
5. Set F7 Parameter 141 PROFILE SCALE to 115% (mechanical tripping speed is typically
about 115% of Contract Speed).
6. Prepare drive for overspeed test.
7. Control Techniques E300: Set parameter A28{E01} to the speed selected on the
controller for the test (1 FPM=5.08 mm/s).
8. Place a call to the top landing.
9. As the counterweight over speeds
The governor will trip.
Safeties will set.
The machine will break traction.
Car will stop.
10. Place the car on Inspection.
11. Reset the electrical governor.
12. Restore F7:141 controller parameter
13. Restore drive operation.
14. Restore parameter A28{E01} to its original value.
15. If unintended motion fault occurred, verify that the car is on Inspection Operation then,
press and hold the EB RST button on the TC-MPI board for 8 seconds.
16. Set F3 > Controller System Menu >
AUTOMATIC MODE FAULT BYPASS = BYPASS OFF.
17. Remove the jumper between GOS1 and GOS2.
18. On the HC-CTL board, place a jumper between terminals SAFC and SAFH.
19. Run the car down on Inspection to release the counterweight safeties.
20. Remove the jumper between the CTL board terminals SAFC and SAFH.
