Using Inspection Stations to Run
In inspection, a car operates at a slow speed using up and down buttons. The car will stop when
the buttons are released.
Auto Tune Motor Data, Control Techniques E300
Review Section 4.2.6 of the E300 Closed Loop RFC-A Mode Setup Guide for induction
motors or E300 Closed Loop RFC-S Mode Setup Guide for PM synchronous motors. The
steps below implement the Motor Learn and Encoder Synchronization procedure:
1. Place controller on Machine Room Inspection.
2. On the controller’s F7 menu, set the following parameters as indicated while taking note
of their value:
Profile Scale = 0%. (Parameter 141)
Normal Brake Pick Voltage = 0 V. (Parameter 194)
Normal Brake Hold Voltage = 0 V. (Parameter 195)
3. On the drive, set Maximum Switching Frequency parameter A25{B13} to 0 (2 kHz).
4. On the drive, select 5 (Full Stationary) for the Motor Autotune parameter A26{B11} to
begin the motor tuning procedure.
5. Press the escape button on the drive’s keypad to display the status screen. Fault mes-
sages are not displayed on the drive’s parameter screen.
6. On the controller, pick and hold up or down direction until the drive’s display indicates
that the procedure has completed. This will be indicated by None for parameter
A26{B11}.
7. Once the tuning procedure has completed, drop direction on the controller.
8. On the controller’s F7 menu, restore above parameters to their original values.
9. On the drive, restore Maximum Switching Frequency parameter A25{B13} to 4 (8 kHz).
Verify Communication, Control Techniques E300
Verify no drive comm fault on controller or fault indicator on drive.
