Description
A monitor module—connected to a UL-listed manual station
(such as the Notifier ARA-10 or NBG-12LX)—used as for a
second release of agents. A Second Shot switch overrides a Delay
Timer, programmed to the same Releasing Zone.
How to program
1. Select a monitor module (refer to "How to Modify or Delete
a Point (2=
POINT
)" on page 21) that you want to use for the
manual release function.
2. Select the
SECOND
SHOT
Type Code.
3. Select the Releasing Zone (R0-R9) for your releasing
application.
4. Press the
ENTER
key to save, then press the
ESC
key until you
return to the Program Change screen.
Example
Figure 70
illustrates a programming example of an monitor
module programmed as a Manual Release switch for the first shot
and a Second Shot switch for the second shot.

For Example, with two monitor modules configured as shown in
Figure 70, program Releasing Zone R5 with the following
releasing selections.
When R5 activates, use the Manual Release switch (2M101) to
count down the timers, then releases solenoids. When 2M101
solenoids finish, you can activate 2M102 for a second shot to
release the solenoids, with no Delay Timer.
