data on normal driving
conditions, in other words data
not directly related to the event
personal data on the driver and
any other occupants
the geographical location of the
vehicle at the time of the event.
The reading of data recorded by the
event data recorder requires both:
access to the interior of the
vehicle or to the event data
recorder
special equipment that can be
purchased from the
manufacturer Bosch.
Aside from the vehicle manufacturer,
other parties such as law
enforcement agencies may access
this data in order to analyse the event.
Radio Frequency
Identification (RFID)
RFID technology is used in some
vehicles for functions such as tyre
pressure monitoring and immobiliser.
It is also used in connection with
conveniences such as radio remote
controls for door locking / unlocking
and starting. RFID technology in Opel
vehicles does not use or record
personal information or link with any
other Opel system containing
personal information.
