Selecting the right system
The rear seats are the most
convenient location to fasten a child
restraint system.
Children should travel facing
rearwards in the vehicle as long as
possible. This makes sure that the
child's backbone, which is still very
weak, is under less strain in the event
of an accident. Do not use forward
facing child restraint system at all
seats when child's weight is below 13
kg.
Suitable are child restraint systems
that comply with valid UN ECE
regulations. Check local laws and
regulations for mandatory use of child
restraint systems.
The following child restraints are
recommended:
Römer Baby-Safe 3 i-Size
Size: 40 - 83 cm
Age: from birth to 15 months
Weight: up to 13 kg
with or without its ISOFIX base
Suitable for rearward facing
installation only.
RömerTriFix 2 i-Size
Size: 76 - 105 cm
Age: from 15 months to 4 years
Weight: from 9 to 22 kg
Installed with ISOFIX and
Top-tether mountings.
