3 Get started
Before using the system and capturing images, you should be familiar with all the features and capabilities
of the system.
CAUTION
Read the warnings and cautions before using your device.
Your device should be left in standby mode at the end of each working day.
Note
The device automatically logs out and the touch screen goes dark when the device is NOT in use. Using
the touch screen activates the touch screen and lets you log in.
3.1 Switch on each day
The image server and scan head must be switched ON each day for the device to operate.
3.1.1 Switch on the image server
The review, admin and storage services run on the image server. You do NOT need to login to the image
server as the server only needs to be switched on.
Your image server may also be used as a browser-based review client.
1. Check that the power supply is switched on.
2. Switch on the image server.
Note
If it seems the image server is not working, check the monitor is switched on then confirm the image
server is switched on.
3.1.2 Switch on the scan head
CAUTION
Only use the fabric cover when the scan head is powered OFF or in standby mode.
Remove the fabric cover before operating the scan head.
The scan head will move when the alignment system is being centered. This will happen
automatically when the device is switched ON and when the alignment system is re-
centered between patient sessions. You should ensure that there is space around the
scan head to allow free movement.
The scan head should be left in standby mode at the end of each working day and so will need to be started
each day.
1. Remove the scan head fabric cover.
2. Check the image server is switched ON and fully started up before switching ON the scan head.
