Chapter 4 - Capture images
6. Select the second stereo image. The cross hairs will move to the right. Align the patient to the
second stereo alignment target. Make sure the patient can see the target, that the target is green
and that the cross hairs are close to the center of the pupil.
7. Capture the image.
8. Check the quality of the images (see What to do after the image is captured on page40).
4.7 How to capture SLO angiography images
Depending on the features available on your device, you may be able to capture angiography images.
CAUTION
When angiography images are being captured additional space will be required to allow
the injection of the dye and for other individuals involved in the procedure. These
individuals could include medical staff or patient helper.
Do NOT inject the patient until the appropriate point in the angiography procedure.
Selecting Angiography will allow the manual capture of FA or ICG images. In Angiography mode, the FA or
ICG timers can be configured to run separately or as a single combined timer. A timer is started by either
selecting the timer or when the initial image captured. The injection should be administered when the scan
head is aligned. If a timer is started accidentally you can reset it by selecting the timer and selecting Reset.
You may manually switch between FA and ICG.
Note
l You can manually switch between FAand ICG images when both image modalities are being
captured.
l Auto-capture is available for angiography images, and ensures automatic capture of images
when the scan head is in the correct position relative to the patient.
l You can select non-angiography image modalities, eye steering and stereo options while
performing an angiography session.
4.7.1 Control contrast
You can adjust the contrast for the next image to be captured.
Manually adjust the image contrast by pushing the contrast control to the left or right or by selecting the
desired position on the control.
Depending on the features available on your device you may be able to use the auto contrast. Manually
adjusting the contrast turns auto contrast off. You can switch between Manual and Auto contrast control
modes.
The contrast is set separately for optomap fa and optomap icg images. When you change between
optomap fa and optomap icg, the device uses the most recent contrast settings for the selected image
modalities.
