Adjusting the response time of the external device (when using FPG-COM4)
The RS485 port of FPG-COM4 occupies the communication line for a certain period of time
after sending data. During this time, data cannot be received from another device. Therefore,
the connected device should not send a response to the FPΣ before the time t indicated below
has passed.

Make the following adjustments depending on the communication mode and the connected
device:
1. FPΣ using FPG-COM4:
- PLC Link: No adjustments required.
- Program controlled: Adjust t in the program algorithm.
- MEWTOCOL-COM Master/Slave: Adjust t using the SYS1 instruction (see above)
2. Other PLCs from Panasonic:
- PLC Link: Adjustment not possible.
- Program controlled: Adjust t in the program algorithm.
3. Computer:
- Adjust t in the program algorithm using a WAIT instruction.
4. Others:
- Information about the time t (time after which the device starts to respond when
data has been received) can be obtained from the device manufacturer.
- KT temperature controllers and inverters (e.g. VF-7E, VF-8X) can be used without
any adjustments because t ≥ 1ms.
- GT Series terminals cannot be used.
