Chapter 12 SERIAL COMMUNICATIONS
Connection to the P3 Port
The port is an un-isolated RS232, 19200 Baud, supporting the standard EI bisynch ASCII
communications protocol. Contact Parker SSD Drives for further information.
• Frame C, D, E & F : There are two ports - one is used by the Keypad, and the second is
under the terminal cover to the right of the Control Terminals.
Using any P3 port on the drive, parameters can be monitored and updated by a suitable PC
programming tool, i.e. DSE Lite.
P3 Port
A standard P3 lead is used to connect to the drive.

Note:
There is 5V present on pin 2 of the P3 port - do not connect this to your PC.
