10.2. Magnum IT and Cv valve

Camshaft rotates for more than 5
minutes to find Home position.
If motor keeps rotating indefinitely,
replace the following components in
this order:
• wire harness;
• motor;
•optical sensor;
• controller.
See 9.6. Cleaning and maintenance,
page 74.

Press to reset the time.
Issue Cause Reset and recovery
Water softener
fails to regenerate
(no soft water).
Power supply to the Magnum
controller has been interrupted.
• Determine the reason for power
interruption and correct it;
• reset the time of day.
Water pressure lost.
• Restore water pressure.
Logix controller improperly
programmed.
• Verify that the Logix controller is
properly programmed.
Defective controller.
• Replace the controller assembly.
See 9.6.5. Controller cover
disassembly, page 77.
No salt in the brine tank.
• Add salt and regenerate in the
tank.
Manual bypass valve is open.
• Close the manual bypass valve.
For 762 series controller, turbine
meter is clogged or restricted.
• Inspect turbine meter assembly,
clean or replace it.
See 9.6.10. Turbine cleaning or
replacement, page 81.
Leak at riser pipe seal.
• Ensure that riser pipe is properly
sealed at the tank adapter o-ring;
• inspect pipe for cracks.
Insufficient brine.
• Check refill controller and clean if
necessary;
• check controller settings;
• check flow rate capacities of safety
float and air check assembly.
Plugged injector and/or injector
screen.
• Inspect and clean injector and/or
injector screen.
