The needle must still contact the rear needle guard lightly when the point of
the advancing looper is in line with the right side of the needle (see Fig.17.0.2).

Turn the balance wheel until the point of the advancing looper is in line with the
right side of the needle.
Loosen screw 1 of the rear needle guard bracket 2.
Position bracket 2 so that the needle guard contacts the needle without
deflecting it:
In this position, tighten screw 1.
Check this adjustment (see "Correct setting").
