Pfaff 5483 - Position of needle in needle hole

setting:
Position of needie in needie hoie
The needle must be centered In the needle hole In crosswise direction and Its
center line must be 32 mm from the front edge of the needle plate (Fig. 2.0.2).
2.1 Bring the needle bar to top dead center and remove the presser foot.
2.2 insert a new needle (for needle system see Inside front cover) and push It up
Into the needle bar as far as It will go; the long groove must face toward you.
2.3 Loosen screws 1, 3 and 4.
2.4 Turn out screws 5 by 2 to 3 turns.
2.5 Turn the balance wheel until the needle point Is Immediately above the needle
hole.
