setting:
Looper avoiding motion
With the needle bar positioned 0.8 mm before top dead centre (pin in hole 4),
the slot in the avoiding motion eccentric must be positioned exactly below
the centre line of the shaft (see Rg. 36.0.2).
36.0.1
36.1 Loosen both screws 1 (Rg. 36.0.1) in the collar of avoiding motion eccentric 2.
36.2 Turn the balance wheel to bringthe needle bar to a position 0.8 mm before top
dead centre.
36.3 Insert the pin in hole 4 of the bearing plate (to block the machine).
36.4 Turn avoiding motion eccentric 2 so that its siot points verticaiiy downwards.
36.5 In this position, tighten the accessible screw 1.
36.6 Pull the pin out of the hole of the bearing plate.
36.7 Also tighten the second screw 1.
36.8 Check this adjustment (see "Correct setting").
