Cleaning and Disinfecting:
A Two-Step Process
A cleaning and disinfecting process must
be followed to remove any biohazardous
materials le on any part of the meter.
Cleaning is part of your normal regimen
for removing dirt and debris prior to
disinfection. It does not kill germs.
Disinfection is the only way to lessen your
exposure to infectious diseases through
blood transmittal. If blood is visible on
any meter part or surface, you should
IMMEDIATELY clean and disinfect.
CAUTION: Clean and disinfect your POGO Automatic Meter AFTER
EVERY CARTRIDGE and when visibly dirty. Clean and disinfect the test
platform DAILY. Always wash hands with soap and water aer handling
the meter and test cartridges, when removing the test platform or
opening the cartridge door.
