VALVE CLEARANCE INSPECTION

NOTE

Valve clearance inspection should be performed on a

cold engine, at room temperature.

1. Remove the cargo box access.

2. Remove the air box cover

3. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable by

removing the seat.

4. Remove screws retaining the outer clutch cover and

remove from the vehicle in order to rotate the engine.

5. Remove the spark plug high tension leads

and

remove the spark plugs.

CAUTION

Place a clean shop towel into the spark plug cavity to

prevent dirt from entering.
