TRANSMISSION INSTALLATION
1. With the help of an assistant, position the
transmission into the vehicle frame through the top of
the engine compartment.
2. Install the rear transmission mount onto the frame.
Torque nuts to specification.
TORQUE
Rear Transmission Mount to Frame Fasteners:
22 ft-lbs (30 Nm)
3. Install M10 bolt and nut securing the transmission
bracket to the rear mount. Torque fasteners to
specification. Do not torque the fastener at this time.
4. Support engine and transmission with a block of
wood.
5. By hand, install the transmission mount bolts and
washers. Do not tighten at this time.
6. Install the Clutch Center Distance Tool (PU-50658-A)
onto the crankshaft and transmission input shaft to
establish the clutch center distance.
