MUFFLER INSTALLATION
1. Install the muffler studs into the mounting grommets
on the chassis.
2. Install the lower bumper brackets onto the vehicle
and install the fasteners. Torque fasteners to
specification.
TORQUE
Lower Bumper Bracket Fasteners:
8 ft-lbs (11 Nm)
3. Install a new muffler gasket and install the springs
retaining the muffler to the exhaust pipe and muffler
bracket.
4. Install the lower bumper and four fasteners. Torque
fasteners to specification.
TORQUE
Rear Fascia / Muffler Cover Screws:
14 ft-lbs (19 Nm)
EXHAUST PIPE REMOVAL
1. Remove the seat.
2. Turn the twist locks

counterclockwise and remove
the engine compartment access panel

.
3. Remove the two springs
w
retaining the muffler to
the head pipe.
4. Remove the six exhaust head pipe fasteners
e
.
5. Remove the exhaust pipe from the vehicle.
EXHAUST PIPE INSTALLATION
1. Install the exhaust pipe onto the vehicle.
2. Install the six exhaust head pipe fasteners. Torque
fasteners to specification.
TORQUE
Exhaust Head Pipe Fasteners:
18 ft-lbs (24 Nm)
3. Install the two springs retaining the muffler to the
head pipe.
4. Install the engine compartment access panel.
5. Install the seat.
ENGINE / COOLING SYSTEM
