3. Install rear bearing carrier and mounting fasteners

Torque fasteners to specification.
TORQUE
Rear Bearing Carrier Mounting Fasteners:
42 lb-ft (57 Nm)
4. Apply Anti-Seize to drive shaft axle splines.
5. Install rear wheel hub assembly

. Install the cone
washer domed side out
e
and hand tighten the
castle nut.
NOTICE
2016–2017 models have two cone washers.
6. Install rear brake caliper assembly and NEW
mounting bolts. Torque to specification.
TORQUE
Rear Caliper Mounting Bolts:
46 lb-ft (62 Nm)
CAUTION
New bolts have a pre-applied locking agent which is
destroyed upon removal. Always use new brake caliper
mounting bolts upon assembly.
7. Torque wheel hub nut

to specification and install a
NEW cotter pin
t
. Tighten nut slightly if necessary to
align cotter pin holes. Bend both ends of cotter pin
around end of spindle in different directions.
TORQUE
Wheel Hub Castle Nut:
180 lb-ft (244 Nm)
8. Install wheel and wheel nuts.
TORQUE
Wheel Nuts (Steel):
60 lb-ft (81 Nm)
Wheel Nuts (Alum):
120 lb-ft (163 Nm)
NOTICE
Do not lubricate the stud or the lug nut.
9. Rotate wheel and check for smooth operation.
