FRONT CALIPER SERVICE
BRAKE CALIPER REMOVAL - FRONT
1. Elevate and safely support the front of the vehicle.
CAUTION
Use care when supporting vehicle so that it does not tip
or fall. Severe injury may occur.
2. Remove the front wheel.
3. Clean caliper area before removal.
4. Place a container below the caliper to catch brake
fluid when removing the line

. Remove brake line
from caliper.
CAUTION
Brake fluid will damage finished surfaces. Do not allow
brake fluid to come in contact with finished surfaces.
5. Loosen brake pad adjustment set screw 2-3 turns to
allow brake pad removal after the caliper is removed.
6. Remove the two caliper mounting bolts and remove
the caliper assembly from the front hub.
BRAKE CALIPER DISASSEMBLY - FRONT
1. Remove both brake pads from the caliper. Refer to
“Brake Pad Removal - Front”page 9.39 procedure.
2. Remove mount bracket assembly

3. Thoroughly clean the caliper before disassembly and
prepare a clean work area for disassembly.
